Life Insurance and You
It never fails to amaze me: 40% of Americans currently have no life insurance.
Think about that: 4 in 10 people – maybe your friends, neighbors and extended family – with no way of providing for their loved ones if they were tragically killed in a car accident, died on the job or succumbed to a terminal illness.
It’s a tragedy waiting to happen.
Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late To Protect Your Family With Life Insurance
That’s why Life Insurance Awareness Month is so important. It gives me and my team here at Snyder Insurance the chance to reduce that number, one policy at a time, while also helping to clear up some dangerous myths about life insurance that folks can hopefully pass along to others.
And there’s plenty of bad information around these days. Did you know, for example, that your employer’s group life insurance may not be enough to provide for your family after you die? Or, that some policies end when you’re fired or leave your job? It’s true, yet most folks just take what their company gives them, thinking they’re covered. It’s frustrating, because everyone at Snyder Insurance knows how simple and affordable it is to supplement an employer’s policy with individual term life insurance.
But, let’s face it. No one wants to think about “buying the farm.” Well, my advice is to send the grim reaper packing, and to treat life insurance as a “no brainer” investment with a guaranteed dividend — the future well being of your kids, your wife and even your pets. Not too scary now, is it?
Over the course of the next month, we’ll keep this conversation going through our blog here and on Twitter, Facebook and our LinkedIn page to help you understand even more about the importance of life insurance. Be sure to tune in. Plenty of folks are depending on you!
